Hon. Lal Premanath,—To ask the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of tourism zones in Sri Lanka;
(ii) of the names of the areas of tourist attraction in the Matara District;
(iii) of the areas that have been declared as a tourist destination by a gazette notification, out of them;
(iv) whether he is aware that there are many places of tourist attraction in the Kotapola and Pitabeddara Divisional Secretariat Divisions;
(v) if so, whether a tourist zone will be designated to cover the above two Divisional Secretariat Divisions; and
(vi) of the steps that have been taken in that regard?
(b) If not, why?
