Hon. S.M. Marikkar,—To ask the Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development,— (2)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the volume of gas that was imported by Litro Gas Lanka Limited from 2022 to 2024, separately for each year;
(ii) whether the proper procurement procedure was followed in importing the said volume of gas;
(iii) if not, of the reasons for that;
(iv) of the volume of gas that was purchased as emergency purchases during the said period, separately for each year in metric tons; and
(v) of the financial difference between an emergency purchase and a purchase that is made following the normal procurement procedure?
(b) If not, why?
