Hon. (Dr.) Kavinda Heshan Jayawardhana,— To ask the Minister of Energy,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the date on which the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery Expansion and Modernization (SOREM) Project was commenced;
(ii) of the objectives of the project concerned;
(iii) of the expenditure that has been incurred on the acquisition of land and the feasibility study of the project as of now, separately;
(iv) whether he is aware that the said project is not in operation at present; and
(v) if so, of the future plans regarding the project referred to above?
(b) If not, why?
