Hon. (Dr.) Kavinda Heshan Jayawardhana,— To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation,— (1)
(a) Is he aware that a —
(i) problematic situation has arisen at present concerning the release of containers from the Colombo Port; and
(ii) coordinated action plan has been proposed by the key maritime supply companies in Sri Lanka and the Chambers of Commerce to bring the situation under control;
(b) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) proposals included in the said plan; and
(ii) measures that will be taken to execute those proposals?
(c) If not, why?
