Hon. W. H. M. Dharmasena,—To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,— (2)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the total extent of paddy lands existing in the Moneragala District;
(ii) of the total paddy harvest of that district in the Maha season of 2024/2025;
(iii) whether fertilizer subsidy had been given to all paddy farmers in the Moneragala District prior to harvesting;
(iv) of the quantity of paddy purchased by the Paddy Marketing Board out of the paddy harvest referred to above; and
(v) of the number of state-owned paddy warehouses located in the Moneragala District, and the address and storage capacity of each of those warehouses, separately?
(b) If not, why?
