Hon. Chamara Sampath Dasanayake,— To ask the Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development,— (1)
(a) Is he aware that —
(i) there is a building and a land belonging to the National Gem and Jewelry Authority located at Galle Face Terrace, Kollupitiya;
(ii) the building concerned has now subsided due to the impact of the construction of a new building by Renuka Holdings on the land adjacent to it; and
(iii) a case has been filed by the Authority against Renuka Holdings in this regard?
(b) Will he inform this House whether it has been planned to settle the case and sell the relevant building and the land to Renuka Holdings in accordance with a decision of the Board of Directors appointed by the present Government?
(c) If not, why?
