Hon. T.K. Jayasundara,—To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that the residents of the Hiniduma Electoral Division in the Galle District have been seriously inconvenienced due to halting of the i–Road project implemented in that area;
(ii) of the issues that have arisen in relation to each of the said roads of which the construction work has been halted, separately;
(iii) of the institutes that are responsible in this regard;
(iv) of the estimated cost of each of the said roads, separately; and
(v) of the steps that will be taken to maintain these roads in such manner that transportation would not be obstructed?
(b) If not, why?
