Hon. Sunil Rathnasiri,— To ask the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the total number of shops in “Polonnaruwa City Center”;
(ii) of the number of shops out of them that have been leased out by now;
(iii) of the decisions taken at the discussion held in 2019 headed by the Governor regarding the leasing out of the “Polonnaruwa City Center” building and the distribution of the shops therein;
(iv) whether the said decisions are being implemented at present; and
(v) if the Polonnaruwa Municipal Council has incurred a loss due to lease of the said shops, whether that loss will be recovered from the responsible parties?
(b) If not, why?
