Hon. (Ms.) Ambika Samivel,—To ask the Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that the people living in the estate areas of the hill country are severely affected by various natural and social problems;
(ii) of the number of homeless individuals and families among the aforementioned community, separately;
(iii) of the duration which they have been residing in temporary houses; and
(iv) of the measures that will be taken to provide those people with housing?
(b) If not, why?
