Hon. Dinindu Saman,—To ask the Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the total number of gem-mining permits issued from 2020 to 2024, in relation to each year;
(ii) of the number of gem mines located in the Badulla district for which licenses were issued during that period, in relation to each Divisional Secretariat division, separately;
(iii) out of those gem mines, of the number of those which have been backfilled in accordance with the proper standard after ending the operations; and
(iv) what those gem mines are?
(b) If not, why?
