Hon. Dinindu Saman,—To ask the Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government,— (1)
(a) Will he state —
(i) of the amount spent on the construction of the Meegehakiula bus station concurrent with the construction of the Meegehakiula New Town in Badulla;
(ii) whether he is aware that the said bus station has not been used up to now;
(iii) if so, of the reasons for that;
(iv) of the steps that will be taken to make the said bus station available for public use; and
(v) of the measures that have been taken to construct the access road to the said bus station?
(b) Will he also state —
(i) whether he accepts that the said bus station is an unproductive construction;
(ii) if so, of the actions that will be taken against those responsible; and
(iii) of the guidelines that will be provided to local government institutions to prevent such situations in the future?
(c) If not, why?
