Hon. S.M. Marikkar,— To ask the Minister of Urban Development, Construction and Housing,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware that the residents of Pothuvil Kumbura of the Kolonnawa Divisional Secretariat Division were removed from that area due to the Kolonnawa Meethotamulla garbage dump project;
(ii) of the number of residents so removed;
(iii) of the number of residents out of them, who have been provided with housing so far;
(iv) of the number of families who are still residing in that area without being provided with housing;
(v) whether there is an arrangement in place to provide them with housing; and
(vi) if so, of the details of the arrangement concerned?
(b) If not, why?
