Hon. Chamara Sampath Dasanayake,—To ask the Minister of Health and Mass Media,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether a disciplinary inquiry had been conducted in respect of Dr. Anil Jasinghe, Secretary to the Ministry of Health and Mass Media;
(ii) whether the Auditor General had conducted an audit inquiry about him;
(iii) whether the Auditor General’s inquiry had been concluded by the time Dr. Jasinghe was appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Health and Mass Media;
(iv) whether Dr. Jasinghe had been acquitted at the inquiry concerned;
(v) does he accept that Dr. Jasinghe had been subjected to an audit inquiry involving Rs. 2.9 million relating to the period in which he had been functioning as the Director General of Health Services?
(b) If not, why?
