Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara, Attorney at Law,— To ask the Minister of Energy,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the tariff charged for a unit of electricity under each of the domestic and commercial categories as of 20.11.2024, separately;
(ii) of the details of the electricity tariff revisions made from 21.10.2024 to date;
(iii) whether the above revisions have been made subject to the decisions/approval of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka;
(iv) whether the decisions given by the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka will be accepted; and
(v) whether steps will be taken to dissolve the said Commission?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) whether steps will be taken to maintain a fixed price for electricity; and
(ii) if so, the fixed price?
(c) If not, why?
