Hon. Dayasiri Jayasekara, Attorney at Law,— To ask the Minister of Power,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of times the prices of fuels were revised from 21.10.2024 to 30.11.2024;
(ii) of the revised price of each type of fuel at each such revision, separately;
(iii) whether the revisions of prices of fuel were carried out according to the formula for fuel prices; and
(iv) which should have been the actual revised prices at each time the prices were revised in respect of each fuel type, separately if it had been done according to the formula?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) whether he accepts the fuel price formula introduced by the previous government;
(ii) if not, the reasons for not accepting the fuel price formula; and
(iii) of the steps that will be taken to give fuel consumers of Sri Lanka the benefit of the reduction in prices of fuel in the international market?
(c)If not, why?
