Hon. Rohana Bandara,— To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Land and Irrigation,—(1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the types of insurance coverages offered by the Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board;
(ii) of their names;
(iii) what crops are covered by each of those insurance coverages, separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House of the —
(i) amount of money that the Board has paid for crop damages from 2015 up to now, in respect of each year separately;
(ii) methodology through which the Board receives funds;
(iii) measures that will be taken to strengthen the Agricultural and Agrarian Insurance Board further?
(c) If not, why?
