Hon. Chaminda Wijesiri,—To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) number of Locomotives imported to Sri Lanka from 2015 to date;
(ii) amount of money that has been spent for it; and
(iii) engine number and the country of manufacture of each such locomotive, separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House of the —
(i) number of locomotives which have been deployed in operation and the number of locomotives which have not, separately;
(ii) reasons for not deploying such locomotives in operation; and
(iii) measures that will be adopted in relation to the allegations to the effect that a massive fraud has taken place in the importation of the locomotives concerned?
(c) If not, why?
