Hon. Hesha Withanage Ankumbura Arachchi,—To ask the Minister of Health and Mass Media,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) date on which the Lakhanda radio service was commenced;
(ii) objectives for which it was established;
(iii) income/expenditure and the profits/losses of Lakhanda in each of the years from 2018 up to now, separately;
(iv) rating which Lakhanda secured in the market in each of the years in the above-mentioned period, separately; and
(v) number of employees recruited to Lakhanda during the period referred to above together with their names, addresses and designations, separately?
(b) Will he also inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that this radio service has become a huge burden to the Independent Television Network (ITN); and
(ii) if so, of the action that will be taken in this regard?
(c) If not, why?
