Hon. Hesha Withanage Ankumbura Arachchi,—To ask the Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House of the —
(i) volume of tea produced in Sri Lanka and the income earned by Sri Lanka from tea exports in each of the years from 2015 up to now, separately;
(ii) position Sri Lanka commanded in each year during the aforementioned period in the international tea market in terms of tea exports, separately; and
(iii) measures that will be taken to increase the tea production in Sri Lanka?
(b) If not, why?
