Hon. Hesha Withanage Ankumbura Arachchi,— To ask the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of projects implemented from 2015 up to now in order to minimize the traffic congestion in Colombo and its suburbs;
(ii) of the names of the aforesaid projects;
(iii) of the amount of money spent on each of the projects concerned, separately;
(iv) whether he is aware that the Audit Report has pointed out that the said projects have failed by now, and this has entailed a waste of money;
(v) if so, of the amount of money that has been wasted as is mentioned above; and
(vi) of the further action that will be taken regarding the projects referred to above?
(b) If not, why?
