Hon. Hesha Withanage Ankumbura Arachchi,—To ask the Minister of Environment,—(1)
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether he is aware that a project for the construction of a wild elephant detention centre was implemented in the Lunugamwehera National Park;
(ii) of the amount of money that has been spent for the aforesaid project so far;
(iii) of the sources from which funds were obtained for the said project;
(iv) whether he is aware that the aforesaid project is alleged to have failed by now; and
(v) if so, the steps that will be taken regarding it?
(b) If not, why?
