Hon. Imthiaz Bakeer Markar,— To ask the Minister of Health,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of government hospitals that come under the purview of the Ministry of Health;
(ii) separately, the name of each hospital and the district situated;
(iii) separately, of the number of doctors and specialist doctors required and currently serving in each hospital at present;
(iv) of the measures taken to fill the vacancies existing in the aforesaid
hospitals ?
(b) Will he also inform this House—
(i) whether doctors who went abroad for further studies have not returned to Sri Lanka;
(ii) if so, the aforesaid number of doctors are;
(iii) whether attention has been focused regarding the measures that can be taken to ensure the return of the doctors who have gone abroad for further studies;
(iv) if so, the aforesaid measures are ?
(c) If not, why?
