Hon. Imran Maharoof,— To ask the Minister of Wildlife and Forest Resources Conservation,—(1)
(a) Will she inform this House of—
(i) the number of Divisional Secretariats in Trincomalee district where Human-Elephant conflict prevails;
(ii) the names of such Divisional Secretariats;
(i) the locations of the said Divisional Secretariats where the electric fences have been erected; and
(ii) the total length of the said electric fences?
(b) Will she also inform this House of—
(i) the locations of the said Divisional Secretariats where the electric fences have not been erected;
(ii) the steps to be taken to erect the electric fence in the said areas; and
(iii) the steps taken to extend the already erected electric fence?
(c) If not, why?
