Hon. Thushara Indunil Amarasena,— To ask the Minister of Power and Energy,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he is aware that the Board of Directors of Ceylon Electricity Board has been paying allowances to its staff from time to time, contrary to the Cabinet decision, dated 14.11.2008 and Management Service Circular No. 39, dated 26.05.2009, issued regarding the payment of allowances to government institutions;
(ii) if so, of the steps taken in that regard; and
(iii) separately, of the amount of allowance paid from the year 2020 to date, per each year?
(b) If not, why?
