Hon. Sanjeeva Edirimanna,— To ask the Minister of Trade, Commerce and Food Security,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of Multi-purpose Co-operative Societies established in Sri Lanka to date;
(ii) of the number of Co-operative Rural Bank branches established under the aforesaid societies;
(iii) of the number of customers in the aforesaid banking system; and
(iv) separately, the value of assets and liabilities of the aforesaid banking system?
(b) Will he also inform this House whether automated teller machines and debit card facilities are available for the Co-operative Rural Banking system?
(c) If not, why?
