Hon. Nalin Bandara Jayamaha,— To ask the Minister of Power and Energy,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) the total amount of electricity that is generated by the power plants belonging to the Mahaweli Multipurpose Project in Megawatts;
(ii) the aforesaid amount as a percentage of the total electricity generation in Sri Lanka; and
(iii) whether it has been planned to construct new power plants in future under the Mahaweli Multipurpose project?
(b) If not, why?
