Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Minister of Local Government and Provincial Councils,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) a number of years have lapsed since the construction work of Beliaththa Public Shopping Complex situated in Beliaththa area in Hambanthota District, was stopped half way; and
(ii) the farming community in the area face a number of difficulties in selling their agricultural produce as the construction work of the aforesaid shopping complex has not been completed?
(b) Will he state—
(i) the date on which the construction work of the aforesaid shopping complex was started ; and
(ii) the reasons for stopping the construction work of the aforesaid shopping complex?
(c) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether action will be taken to recommence the construction work of the aforesaid shopping complex and complete it expeditiously; and
(ii) of the period of time that will be taken for it?
(d) If not, why?

ගරු කථානායකතුමනි, පළාත් පාලන හා පළාත් සභා අමාත්යතුමා වෙනුවෙන් මම එම ප්රශ්නයට පිළිතුර දෙනවා.
(අ) (i) ඔව්.
(ii) දැනට බිම් මහල තුළ පොළ පවත්වා ගෙන යන අතර වෙළඳ සංකීර්ණයේ කටයුතු නිම කිරීමෙන් පසුව දැනට වඩා නිෂ්පාදන අළෙවි කිරීමට ඉඩ සැලසිය හැකිය.
(ආ) (i) 2007 නොවැම්බර් මස.
(ii) දකුණු පළාත් ග්රාමීය ආර්ථික ප්රවර්ධන ව්යාපෘතිය යටතේ ආරම්භ කළ ව්යාපෘතියකි. ප්රමාණවත් ප්රතිපාදන සලසා දීමට අපහසු වීම නිසා.
(ඇ) (i) ඔව්.
(ii) 2013 වර්ෂය තුළ පළමු අදියර නිම කිරීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇත.
(ඈ) පැන නොනඟී.
