(Dr.) Suren Raghavan,— To ask the Minister of Wildlife & Forest Conservation,— (a) Will he inform this House — of the extent of officially demarcated forest land in Northern Province at present; of the extent of forest land demarcated by year 1982; and if there is a difference between the aforesaid extents of lands, the reasons for the difference are? (b) Will he also inform this House— of the method followed to gazette a selected area as a forest reserve; and of the number of gazettes issued from year 2009 to date with regard to forest protection with relevance for Northern Province? (c) If not, why?
