Hon. Chandima Weerakkody,— To ask the Minister of Water Supply,—
(a) Is he aware that there is a severe drinking water shortage problem in Habaraduwa, Akmeemana, Galle and Rathgama areas?
(b) Will he inform this House —
(i) whether funds will be allocated from the forthcoming budget for the next phase of the Magalla Water Supply Scheme, which is the solution to the aforesaid problem;
(ii) if so, the amount that will be allocated for that; and
(iii) the date on which a solution will be provided to the drinking water problem in the aforesaid areas;
(c) If not, why?
