542/2020 Hon. Samanpriya Herath,— To ask the Minister of Education,— (a) Will he inform this House— (i) the number of Central Colleges founded by Dr. C.W.W. Kannangara; and (ii)of the method followed to enroll students for Grade 6 classes of Central Colleges? (b) Is he aware that a Central College founded by Dr. C.W.W. Kannangara is situated in Kuliyapitiya electorate? (c)Will he also inform this House—(i) of the number of students enrolled for Grade 6 classes of the College mentioned in (b) from year 2015 to 2018; (ii) separately, the marks gained by each aforesaid student at the Grade 5 scholarship examination are; and (iii) the number of students who have been enrolled to aforesaid school even after gaining marks below the cut-off marks of the scholarship examination? (d)If not, why?
