Hon. M. Joseph Michael Perera,— To ask the Minister of Transport,—
(a) Will he inform this House of —
(i) the total estimated cost for the project on upgrading the railway tracks of the Sri Lanka Railways Department ;
(ii) out of this cost, the amount to be met locally ;
(iii) the amount to be met through foreign funds;
(iv) the sources of funding of the aforesaid project ;
(v) out of the total cost, the amount being received as loans ;
(vi) the names of countries granting loans, the relevant interest rates and the loan repayment periods ; and
(vii) the timeframe for the completion of the entire project?
(b) Will he state the method of recruiting workers for the activities of the aforesaid project?
(c) If not , why?
