0453/2020: LANDS OF CHENA CULTIVATORS IN BAMBARAELA VILLAGE: DEMARCATION AS FOREST RESERVES

453/2020 Hon. Ishak Rahuman,— To ask the Minister of Wildlife & Forest Conservation,— Is he aware that the wild life officers have demarcated the boundaries of the forest reserves and boundary posts have been fixed in the lands for which freehold land ownership deeds are held by the cultivators who have engaged in Chena cultivations since the year 1973 in the Bambaraela village, of Diwulwewa Grama Niladhari division bearing division number 215, in the Kahatagasdigiliya divisional secretariat division of Anuradhapura district? If so, will he inform this House of the steps that would be taken with pertinence to the said matter? If not, why?
