Hon. Velu Kumar,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious & Cultural Affairs and Minister of Urban Development & Housing,—
(a) Is he aware that the National Housing Development Authority has commenced the ‘Village reawakening Housing Programme’ in the Levaland Estate that belong to the Janatha Estate Development Board in the Doluwa Divisional Secretariat Division in Kandy district?
(b) Will he inform this House, separately—
(i) the number of each Village Reawakening Housing programme, commenced on the above Estate under the said programme; and
(ii) the number of houses each Village Reawakening Housing programme consists of?
(c) Will he also inform this House, separately—
(i) the total amount of money promised to each recipient of houses for constructing a house;
(ii) the loan portion out of the total amount of money that has been made available;
(iii) the donation portion out of the total amount of money that has been made available; and
(iv) the amount of money that has been made available up to now?
(d) Will he further inform this House whether steps will be taken to complete this project by making the balance amount of money available to each recipient of houses?
(e) If not, why?
