Hon. Buddhika Pathirana,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious & Cultural Affairs and Minister of Urban Development & Housing,—
(a) Is he aware that—
(i) bio-weapons are still used clandestinely for various political and trade strategies even though use of bio-weapons is prohibited internationally; and
(ii) there is a possibility of under developed countries including Sri Lanka becoming targets for trying out these bio-weapons?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether the government has taken measures to prevent attacks with bio-weapons; and
(ii) if so, what those measures are?
(c) If not, why?
