Hesha Vithanage,- To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious & Cultural Affairs and Minister of Urban Development & Housing,- (a) Will he inform this House- (i) of the number archeological sites that has been destroyed from the year 2015 up to now; (ii) of the names of those sites; (iii) of the reasons for destroying the said archeological sites; (iv) whether the persons who destroyed the relevant archeological sites have been identified; (v) of the punishment meted out to them; (vi) of the number of archeological sites which has been destroyed, but perpetrators responsible have not been identified; (vii) of the measures expected to be taken in future against the destruction of archeological sites that preserve the past glory of a country? (b) If not, why?
