Hon. Shantha Bandara,— To ask the Minister of Internal & Home Affairs and Provincial Councils & Local Government,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of Provincial Councils in Sri Lanka dissolved at the end of their tenure;
(ii) separately, of the period of time lapsed since the dissolution of relevant Provincial Councils by now;
(iii) separately, of the tenure remaining for the rest of the Provincial Councils apart from the dissolved provincial Councils by now; and
(iv) whether measures will be taken make the dissolved Provincial Councils functional by holding elections?
(b) If not, why?
