To ask the Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development,— Will he state separately— the number of workers engaged in marine and inland fishing industry ; the marine and inland fish production per month ; and the subsidies granted by the government for marine and inland fishing industry and the amount of money spent for it annually ; with respect to each district in the Eastern Province? Will he inform this House of— the programmes that are expected to be implemented by the government in time to come in order to enhance marine and inland fishing industry ; and the amounts of money that are expected to be spent by the government for each district in order to implement the aforesaid programmes? If not, why?
