Hon.(Dr.) Bandula Gunawardana,— To ask the Minister of Finance,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the measures taken to strengthen Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board as per Budget Proposal No.289 of 2016; and
(ii) of the progress achieved up to now with respect to amending Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Act, No. 15 of 1995 of the persons who have been assigned the responsibility for that; and
(iii) whether the manner in which the sum of Rs.100 million allocated through the 2016 budget for strengthening Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board was utilized, will be explained?
(b) If not, why?
