Hon. Mahindananda Aluthgamage,— To ask the Minister of Telecommunication, Foreign Employment and Sports,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether it is admitted that the telecasting rights/sponsorship payments related to the Nidahas Trophy Cricket Tournament of 2018 were arranged via a third party outside the Cri Lanka Cricket;
(ii) if so, of the commission received by them;
(iii) of the persons who authorized the said activity which enabled a third party to receive the relevant funds which could have otherwise been deserved by the Sri Lanka Cricket; and
(iv) of the steps that will be taken against the persons who implemented the aforesaid erroneous decision?
(b) If not, why?
