Hon. (Mrs.) Rohini Kumari Wijerathna,— To ask the Minister of Highways & Road Development and Petroleum Resources Development,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the number of people in Dambulla area who will lose their land owing to the Central Highway constructed from Kurunegala to Dambulla;
(ii) of the names of those persons;
(iii) whether he admits that serious issues have emerged in relation to paying of compensation to those individuals; and
(iv) if so, of the steps taken by the Ministry to address those issues?
(b) If not, why?
