Hon. (Mrs.) Rohini Kumari Wijerathna,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development, Vocational Training & Skills Development and Youth Affairs,—
(a) Is he aware that —
(i) giant Mimosa plant is invading the area around the Bowathenna reservoir of Nawula, Mathale; and
(ii) the aforementioned situation will cause grave difficulties to the farmers?
(b) Will he inform this House of the steps that will be taken by the Ministry to resolve this issue?
(c) If not, why?
