Hon. Chaminda Wijesiri,— To ask the Minister of Internal & Home Affairs and Provincial Councils & Local Government,—
(a) Is he aware that the Auditor-General has sent to the Chief Secretary of the Uva Province the inquiry report No. SIN/B/AG/KI/2017/02 dated 20.04.2017 in respect of the irregularities that have taken place and are taking place in the Uva Provincial Council?
(b) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether he would present to this House the facts contained in the paragraphs from 2(a)(i) to (x) of the aforesaid report which disclose information regarding the appointment of advisers of the Chief Minister of the Uva Province; and
(ii) whether observations that have been presented in paragraphs from 2(a) (i) to (xiii) in regard to the aforesaid disclosures will be presented to this House?
(c) If not, why?
