Hon. Hesha Withanage, — To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies, Economic Affairs, Resettlement & Rehabilitation, Northern Province Development, Vocational Training & Skills Development and Youth Affairs,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of families that obtain water from the Chandrikawewa of Embilipitiya for drinking and agricultural purposes;
(ii) whether he is aware that the environment is polluted extensively when refuse from the Embilipitiya weekly fair is mixed in the Chandrikawewa; and
(iii) if so, of the steps that will be taken by the Ministry to minimize this situation?
(b) If not, why?
