0635/’10 Hon. Hemal Gunasekera,— To ask the Minister of Education,— Will he submit to this House, separately — the number of schools where only primary classes were conducted; the number of schools where classes up to Ordinary Level were conducted; and the number of schools where classes up to Advanced Level were conducted; out of the schools which had to be closed down in the year 2009? Will he inform this House of — the main reasons which contributed to the closure of the above mentioned schools; whether there is a proposed course of action to prevent the closure of schools as mentioned above; and if so, what it is? If not, why?
