Hon. Arundika Fernando,— To ask the Minister of Rehabilitation and Prison Reforms,—
(a) Will he inform this House of —
(i) the number of children with imprisoned mothers by the end of 2009;
(ii) the measures taken to prevent imprisoning both the child and the mother as inmates?
(b) Will he inform this House —
(i) of the number of prison inmates below the age of 22 years by the end of the year 2009;
(ii) whether there is a program to keep these young inmates separated from ordinary prisoners; and
(iii) if so, what it is?
(c) If not, why?
