Business in the House Today


The House today moved votes of condolence on the following late Members of Parliament:

1. Hon. Ediriweera Premaratne
2. Hon. (Mrs.) Chandra Karunaratne

In Main Business, the Bill entitled “Urban Development Authority (Amendment)” was passed by the House without amendments.

Hon. N. D. N. P. Jayasinghe moved a motion at Adjournment time on the “Unsolved problems of the people affected by recent earth-slips in areas of Walapane and Hanguranketha”.

The House was adjourned at 1325 Hrs until Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at 0930 Hrs.
