Business Passed in the House Today


Motion to appoint a Select Committee of Parliament to amend the Act No. 35 of 2003, “Grant of Citizenship to Persons of Indian Origin” in order to grant Sri Lankan citizenship to the persons who are in refugee camps for Sri Lankans in Tamil Nadu and to provide other facilities to them, was moved by Minister of Highways and Road Development and the Chief Government Whip of Parliament Hon. Jeyaraj Fernandopulle and was passed by the House.

Hon. Vijitha Herath moved an adjournment motion on the “Current Education Policy and Problem arisen in the Implementation”.

The House was adjourned at 1633 Hrs
