Business in the House Today


At the Commencement of today’s Public Business, the Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament moved a motion for a further extension of time of the Select Committee of Parliament on Electoral Reforms.

Thereafter, Hon. (Mrs.) Nirupama Rajapakse was granted leave to introduce a Private Member Bill entitled “Hampton Village Sri Lanka Trust (Incorporation)”.

Hon. K.V. Samantha Vidyaratna moved an adjournment motion on the agreement for transfer of lands to a British Company (Uva-Wellassa Sugar Development Project).

The House was adjourned at 16:30 Hrs.
