Business in the House Today


At the commencement of Public Business Hon. (Ven.) Alawwe Nandaloka Thero was granted leave to introduce the following Bill entitled “Thaliyawaka Sri Ananda Bodhi Cultural Foundation (Incorporation)”

Thereafter the Bill entitled “National Institute of Language Education and Training” was passed with amendments and Regulations under the Imports and Exports (Control) Act were approved by the House as unopposed business.

Hon. T. Maheswaran moved an Adjournment Motion on “Tamils in Colombo lodges – Sending to North-East” under the provisions of Standing Order No. 17.

The House was adjourned at 1630 Hrs.
