The Privilege motion that the question of privilege arising out of the matter raised by Hon. (Al-Haj) A. H. M. Azwer, M.P. in Parliament on January 18th, 2012, moved by the Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament was referred to the Committee on Privileges under Standing Order 127.


The Hon. Faizal Cassim was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled "Seyyed Sheikh Koya Thangal Mowlana Foundation (Incorporation)".

The Hon. (Mrs) Sriyani Wijewickrama was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled "Philip Gunawardena Commemorative Society (Incorporation)".


Adjournment Motion

Adjournment Motion on “Effects of the Economic situation of the European Union on Sri Lanka” was moved by the Hon. Ajith P. Perera.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1745 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Thursday 9th February 2012.
